Recent scientific investigations have revealed that the East Falkland penguin population is being threatened by a sexually transmitted disease (STD). The research states that the virus responsible has taken slightly over 22 years to mutate into it's present form. The virus manifests itself outwardly by the birds forming a heavy drooping hair growth above the beak, behaving in a lethargic manner and having a tendancy to run away when hearing loud noises or English voices.
