Soon, we'll be conmemorating the 25th anniversary of the conflict and so far, we've found no solution to the problem yet.
While I always hear reasons from the UK on why Argentina shouldn't be given the sovereignty such as "the wishes of the FI should be respected - as british citizens -" , I can't stop thinking:
" Are the wishes of british citizens also respected when they are sent to fight Bush's war against middle east? Are the wishes of British citizens respected when they have been taken prisoners by Iran and they wish to go home?
I've come up with an obvious answer: Pride. Losing a battle as the US pet seems to be more honorable to the UK than accepting a mistake and try to find a solution suitable for both countries with Argentina.
Nobody seems to learn from facts. We'll just sit here, patiently, like we've done these 25th years and see how your foolish support to the US in this insane war turns Great Britain into Poor Britain. Then we might be able to take back what's ours.
Very sad. We could have been a good ally, if not because of military power, with many other things, for the UK if you chose our side.

Hello Sakura:
Nice to have you back in the forum!
You are right, they care for the wishes of the Kelpers as long as it is interesting. In case they change their minds UK will find another reason for not negotiating. I reality they care for nothing, just to keep a land that do not belong to them.

Yeah I can imagine... But honestly, from my point of view, Iran doesn't want to start a world war, they are just showing their teeth to keep the invaders away from their lands. If they really wanted to fight they would have killed the british marines, but they didn't, they didn't even hurt them, it was just a warning.
