Esteban, are you proposing another 1982? Are you for real? This attitude, "I'm right and I don't care about the other party", has brought a lot of unjustified suffering and death to this world. And in this case it isn't remotely realistic. Argentina has even less power to do that than it had in 1982.

Hola Esteban,
Welcome to the forum. I am afraid that you are assuming that whatever will happen during the first few days following Argentina's re-possession will remain etched in stone. Actually, I believe the islanders will practically do whatever they want, sovereignty apart. First, they will still be the majority in a democratic system as far as local jurisdiction goes, just as people from Ushuaia or Cordoba are. If they are to go where they belong, that will definitely be a very short trip. They belong exactly where they are, which happens to be their home. Their present government appointed by London is the one who will be packing. Beneton owns one million hectares in Patagonia, and the main reason this happened is because Patagonia is severely under populated. That means that most people do not want to go there, making the price of land incredibly cheap. How do you suppose Argentina is planning to populate Malvinas in the near future, when it couldn’t do it in Patagonia for almost two centuries? I have never been any further south than Bahia Blanca, and I do not believe any of my friends have either, with one exception in the late seventies, and only because he was a conscript at the time when Argentina and Chile came close to war. Given a choice, would you want to live in Stanley rather than in Mendoza or Bariloche? If you answer yes to this question, you are certainly a minority in Argentina.
Saludos,
Gabriel

What a nice boy Esteban is !
There you are, Jesse is on her best behaviour and did not insult anyone.
She may have been a little sarcastic though. Is that allowed ?

Dear Esteban
This forum is not Nora's opposite. We cannot demand respect if we dont show it first, dont you think? Insults are not necessary if you are convinced you're right. I am convinced I'm right, and I'm on your side too, so think about it? Do we really need to do this? We have thousands of really good proofs and explanations, like to lower our level to this. If they dont want to listen, accept or believe them, it's up to them, but we know what we have... The idea you posted is actually very good, and I would love to see the postings about it, but could you please re-write the post without the insults?
Thanks a lot Noelia
